Manuel draws his inspirations from his travels. His favorite destination has been the Himalayas where he has spent many years painting. ‘There are a lot of practical reasons why I choose the high altitude to paint. One thing is the dust free atmosphere one needs paint as dust is the greatest enemy of oil paints. My most favored medium is brush and ink as I don't have to carry a lot of equipment, just paper and brushes and Indian ink, and once the painting is done, no need to wait for the paint to dry. I just pack up and head for another place’.
